Is Pattaya OK for a month for a first timer?

I have never been to Thailand before and was thinking about going to Pattaya for a month after seeing lots of videos about the place. I will have the time off work and the money to spend. Is this a good idea, or would I get bored with a month?

My holiday would consist of lazing about the pool/beach during the day, getting a tan, maybe some tours, and night time would consist of some drinking, pool, and getting to know some girls.

I would also be travelling alone, would this be a issue for a male in my late 30's.

Any advice appreciated, and also what is the best time to visit for a month as when I take the month is quite flexible.

It all depends on you. I have been to Pattaya for 2 weeks and I was not bored and would have quite happily accepted another 2 weeks. If you do get a bit bored you can always travel about. Lot's of cheap trains or taxis to new places. In fact, I would encourage you to travel about as you will see new places and people, and maybe ones that you prefer.

I would also suggest you try and learn the language a little as it's more rewarding even if you can speak just a little bit.

Regarding the best time to visit Pattaya, the most expensive time to visit is over December and January, and the best time is between November and February when the weather is really nice and pleasant and a lot more visitors are about.
