What is a Googly in Cricket?

A Googly is a bowling action performed by a right-arm leg spin bowler in the game of Cricket. The same spin can be acheived by a Left-arm spinner which is called a Chinaman.

The googly is a useful tool for a bowler because of its element of surprise, as it is not thrown all that often, so therefore can easily catch out inexperienced bowlers or ones who have lost some concentration in the match.
