Being agnostic I never went into the viewing of the movie Noah with any other thoughts other than thinking I hope it keeps me entertained, and for that reason alone it sort of did.

I was quite surprised however by Hollywood not really following the script that most of us have read in the bible, and I did find myself thinking at a few parts this is not what's supposed to have happened.

For instance in the bible I thought before the flood all of Noah’s sons had wives, but in the film only one son had a woman whom everyone believed to be barren.

If truth be told we could talk all day about discrepancies throughout, and for that reason this movie will either be loved or loathed by people.

I liked the movie Noah just for the story they gave in the film. Putting aside anything ever told to us in the bible, had this just been a movie made with a story none of us had ever heard about it, I am sure most people would have enjoyed it.

I enjoyed the acting throughout by all of the cast except for the actor Ray Winstone. Being from the UK one must understand that all we hear just about everyday on TV is adverts featuring him promoting the betting company Bet365.

His voice on these adverts was the exact same in the movie Noah, it really seemed out of place in the movie, such a shame as he is a good actor, but in my eyes he has cheapened himself and I probably will never watch a movie where he is a main character again.

The special effects in the movie were also really good, and I wondered whilst watching how they were going to deal with putting all the animals on the ark, but they really did a good job at doing this, what with the way the birds went on first, then the snakes and creepy crawlies, then the wildebeest etc, the special effects were great.

So overall Noah was a pretty decent watch, even if a tad too long. A few parts seemed to drag on a little, and the film could easily have been 30 minutes shorter. Not good enough to be watched a second time, probably not good enough to be recommended to others, but also not one to be criticised either.

What was with all the big monster things being formed out of rock lol. I put this on expecting it to be along the lines of the Noah we all know, but when I see these creatures near the start I thought wtf! At least with the movie Passion of the Christ it was close to the story.
Still thought the movie was ok, just nothing spectacular.
