- Genre: Drama

- Classification: 18
- Run Time: 93 minutes
Prior to viewing I Stand Alone I had read so many posts on how this movie was really disturbing, and comments like "you even get a 30 second warning to ask if you wish to continue near the end", and although that is true, you do get that warning, the movie was hardly disturbing at all.
Basically I Stand Alone is a French movie about a butcher named Jean Chevalier. The movie is a wonderful peace of art which keeps you captivated from start to finish as we follow Jean through a few days of his life, and with all his thoughts being shared with us, the viewer.
The thoughts Jean has are in my opinion the best part about this movie as I could relate to so many things. None of the "disturbing" things really bothered me that much, and to be honest there are really only two scenes which someone could call disturbing in the entire movie.
This movie will certainly not be for everyone, and because of the format it's difficult to comment on, but for me it was close to a masterpiece from the director Gaspar Noé.
