A Street Cat Named Bob is a movie based on true events mainly about a homeless man who busks in London and who is a recovering heroin addict currently on a methadone programme.
The movie is so uplifting, especially when James (Luke Treadaway) is given a little flat to help him out and this is where Bob (the cat) comes into his life. The story then follows James and Bob through life's ups and downs, and shares the amazing story of how Bob changed the life of James.
One word of warning for parents is that this is not a movie for young kids even though the movie title and the image used on the DVD would suggest otherwise. The story is quite dark at times which includes a scene of a young man overdosing on heroin, so it's not a little fun story about a cat, even though the movie is a lot of fun at times.
